FusionWorks provides business applications that improve clients’ operations
By: ANA MARIA LOPEZ

Whether you need business application implementation, budget and financial planning, or project management services, FusionWorks has the right tools and personnel.

By uniting the backgrounds, expertise, and talents of 25 young professionals in the areas of finance and accounting, engineering, business administration, human resources, project management, technology, information systems, and computer programming, FusionWorks creates a wide array of practices combining functional and technical capabilities.

Application implementation and custom-application development are FusionWorks’ areas of expertise. In partnership with manufacturers of computer and business software such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Microsoft Corp., the company provides and develops applications that take advantage of the latest technology. FusionWorks is the largest service provider in Puerto Rico of Microsoft Great Plains, an application made to address business processes requirements. These services are complimented by constant customer support and maintenance.

FusionWorks also offers database migration and administration, project data warehousing, business project re-engineering, project management, business intelligence solutions, and budgeting planning services. According to Jorge Mejia, partner and founder of the company, these offerings have been integrated to FusionWorks’ consulting mix to cover requests encountered during the company’s years in business. “We are a fresh, versatile, and innovative company that is totally customer driven,” said Mejia. “We are breaking stereotypes by bringing a new approach to consulting that integrates diverse business solutions.”

Mejia also said FusionWorks has an advantage over the competition when it comes to costs. “The fact that we are a local firm gives us the opportunity to offer more attractive prices as well as more personal attention,” he said.

FusionWorks, founded in April 2002, by Jorge Mejia, Leslie Luciano, and Luis Santiago, has grown at an incredible speed. “The company reported an increase of 33% from last year,” said Mejia. “Another achievement has been to increase our number of clients within the private sector by 80%. This balances our governmental and private clients to 50% for each sector.” As part of this growth, FusionWorks moved its offices to a more convenient locale, providing meeting rooms and larger facilities for presentations and business trainings.
